A committee comprising local government representatives has been formed to prevent water theft in the city.

Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) Chief Operating Officer Engineer Asadullah Khan conveyed these plans during a meeting with a delegation of UC chairmen, vice chairmen, and councilors led by Sohrab Goth Town Chairman Lala Abdul Raheem at MD Secretariat Karsaz on Tuesday.

Raheem highlighted the water supply and drainage issues faced by various union councils of Sohrab Goth and stressed the need for prompt solutions. Asadullah pledged resolution of complaints, instructing relevant officers to prioritise and address all issues. He reiterated that enhancing water supply and drainage for citizens is a primary objective, aligning with mayor's directives.
