Seven-year-old girl molested

Child was rushed to THQ Hospital of Chichawatani in critical condition

CHICHAWATNI:

Police have arrested a suspect accused of having raped a seven-year-old girl.

A complaint had been lodged with the police by one Javed Masih, a resident of village 40/12L, saying that his seven-year-old daughter had gone out of the house to buy something from a nearby shop around dusk last evening.

When she didn’t return, Javed Masih went out in search of his daughter, the complainant told the police.

He said that he had looking for his girl while his mind had been swirling with all kind of thoughts.

He looked for her in every nook and cranny. Ultimately, he reached a nearby structure that looked like a hut. His heart stopped beating when he heard the voice of his girl, crying.

He told the police that he hurtled headlong into the hut and saw that Shaheer Machhi had been allegedly sexually abusing his daughter who had been crying in agony.

Javed Masih exploded with rage over what he saw. In the meantime, the suspect allegedly threatened the girl's father that he would lose his life if he dared to come near him.

The complainant told the police that finding the suspect too formidable a foe to overpower single-handedly, he screamed for help, and hearing the scream people of the neighborhood gathered at the place. However, the suspect still managed to escape while threatening all the people there of dire consequences.

The child was rushed to the THQ Hospital of Chichawatani in a very critical condition. Later, she was transferred to the DHQ Teaching Hospital in Sahiwal where her condition was said to be improving.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, the Acting Medical Superintendent, Dr. Badar Munir, left no stone unturned in ensuring that the child got the best of medical treatment. He made hectic efforts for arranging blood for transfusion.

As soon as the tragic incident was reported, the DSP of Chichawatni, Meher Waseem Sial, along with the SHO of Saddar Police Station, Amjad Hussain, and a contingent rushed to the scene of the incident and collected evidence from there.

In the month of December in 2022, three men had allegedly kidnapped a 10-year-old girl and raped her in the limits of the Dipalpur City Police Station in Okara, police had said.

They had said the suspects kept the child hostage for three days after which the child returned home in a state of indescribable trauma.

The victim was a resident of Ziauddin Colony.

In the initial medical report, it had been proved that the child was raped.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.
