Five tourists were killed after their jeep fell into a riverine in Skardu’s Deosai area on Friday.
Local police said that the accident occurred after a head-on collision with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
Two other people were also injured in the incident and shifted to a local hospital where they were being provided medical treatment, according to the local police.
All victims belonged to Quetta.
Rescue 1122 teams were trying to retrieve the bodies till the filing of this news story.
On June 4, four passengers were killed when their truck fell into a river in Neelum Valley’s Changan area.
According to the Neelum police, the driver of the cargo truck, which was travelling from Batrasi to Mandkaro, lost control of the vehicle and plunged into a deep gorge.
As soon as the information about the accident was received, rescue teams reached the spot and initiated a rescue operation.
It was reported that the bodies were pulled from the river and shifted to a nearby hospital.
