HARIPUR:

In order to pay homage to the sacrifices of the martyrs of the motherland, several roads, squares, intersections, community centres run by the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), and other government buildings will be named after them, Haripur Tehsil Nazim Samiullah Khan said on Wednesday.

“A significant convention will also be held on July 8 at the Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad to show devotion and respect for the martyrs of Haripur,” he said while talking to media representatives along with Haripur Press Club President Zakir Hussain Tanoli. He added that the Haripur district government was hosting the programme for the first time to honour the martyrs of Haripur and their sacrifices.

“Our younger generation is unaware of the numerous unsung heroes we have in various departments,” he said. “Our goal is to honour martyrs by naming the various roads, squares, junctions, community centres, and other TMA-managed buildings after them,” he added.
