A woman who allegedly killed her husband with the help of her paramour led police to the victim’s resting place: a shallow grave in the yard of a house in Sahjwal.
Acting on the confession of the accused Amina, Police exhumed her husband Usman’s body. The victim had been buried for five months.
Amina brought Usman to her lover Hasan’s house in Sahjwal under the pretext of her friend’s wedding, where she and Hasan allegedly killed him.
The accused buried the body in the yard of Hasan’s house after the murder and also dismantled his motorcycle and discarded the parts.
Amina and Usman were married in 2017. Usman, a resident of Baghbanpura in Lahore, used to work as a sofa cover maker.
The couple had a son and a daughter, who were three and five-years-old respectively at the time of their father’s murder.
According to details, Amina would regularly go for walks with her husband in Shalimar Bagh, where she developed a friendship with a guard from Pattoki who began to visit her house.
The guard invited Amina and Usman to a wedding, where she met the guard’s younger brother Hasan at the wedding ceremony.
She allegedly befriended him and they exchanged phone numbers. Soon afterwards, this relationship grew into an extramarital affair.
Amina kept in constant contact with Hasan, causing strain within her marriage with. She demanded a divorce, but he refused to pursue it.
This motivated Amina and Hasan to plot to kill Usman and invited him to Patuki village Sehjwal Chak 11.
They allegedly killed him together and dumped the body in a sack, burying it in a nearby yard. They also dismantled his motorcycle and threw the parts into a nearby waterway, in an effort to dispose of the evidence.
When Usman’s family could not find him, they registered a case against unknown persons in Baghbanpura police station.
On the other hand, Amina and Hasan got married and five months passed before police unearthed Usman’s remains on Tuesday.
When interrogated, Amina confessed to everything. The police raided Hasan’s house in Sehjwal Chak 11 with the assistance of Sadar Patuki police station and arrested Hasan.
