A man was stabbed to death while three others were injured during a clash within the limits of Morgah police station on Monday.

The police arrested three accused persons named Waris Khan, Rehmanullah and Khalid who allegedly killed a citizen Liaquat and injured three others by stabbing them with knives.

A case has been registered at the Morgah police station on the complaint of the victim's brother.

SP Pothohar said all the resources are being used to arrest the accused involved in serious cases. On the same day, Rawalpindi district police arrested nine gambler.

A police spokesman said that the Airport police conducted a raid and arrested nine gamblers named Dilawar, Sakhawat, Ali Raza, Faheem, Javed, Nadeem, Zohaib, Nadeem Akbar and Waqas, who were allegedly involved in betting while playing cards.

Police also recovered Rs130,000 cash stake money, 13 mobile phones and other items from the possession of the arrested accused.

A case has been registered against the accused while further investigation is under process. Potohar SP appreciated the police party and said gambling is the root cause of other evils and those involved in such crimes do not deserve any concession.
