CPNE demands release of advertisement dues

The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Committee demanded of the provincial government to release the arrears of Rs1.75 billion to newspapers in terms of provincial advertisement.

The Committee held a meeting to consider the financial situation of member publications in the province which was especially attended by the CPNE president Irshad Ahmed Arif and Secretary General Aijazul Haq.

On this occasion Caretaker Provincial Minister of Information Barrister Feroz Jamal Shah Kaka Khel, Secretary Information Mukhtiar Ahmed Khan and DGPR Basirur Rehman Ali Khan were also present.

All the participants discussed the challenges associated with the newspapers being published from K-P.
