KARACHI:

In a heart-wrenching incident that unfolded Thursday evening, a sacrificial animal broke free from its rope in the Godhra Chowk area of New Karachi, resulting in a tragic outcome.

The legs of a 12-year-old boy got entangled in the rope tied around the neck of the galloping animal which dragged him for several meters before it was recaptured. The harrowing sight left the neighbourhood residents in a state of shock.

Displaying courage and quick thinking, the residents pursued the animal as it continued to run. After a determined chase, they managed to recapture it and swiftly freed the young boy from the entangling rope. Recognising the severity of his injuries, they rushed him to the nearest hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The young boy, who hailed from a modest background, was the second among four siblings. His father, a salesman at a local clothing shop, now finds himself grappling with the unimaginable loss. The family, overwhelmed with grief, decided to forego legal proceedings and laid their son to rest in a solemn burial ceremony.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old security guard deployed at a bakery located in Bokhari Commercial, DHA, Phase VI, allegedly attempted suicide on Friday.
