In an absurd turn of events, current Indian cinema heartthrob Kartik Aaryan and renowned producer Sajid Nadiadwala have decided to recreate the sensational hit song, Pasoori, reports Times of India and Bollywood Hungama. This will be done for their upcoming love story, Satyaprem Ki Katha. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film stars Aaryan alongside the talented Kiara Advani and is slated for a June 28 release.
With the decision to recreate Pasoori, Aaryan and Nadiadwala aim to capture the magic and popularity of the original song while infusing it with their own creative interpretation. According to Bollywood Hungama's sources, the team has meticulously planned the shoot, which is set to take place over two days in Mumbai. They are dedicated to bringing forth their final "masterpiece" during the release week and hope to recreate the same enchantment and buzz that the song generated in the digital world.

'Pasoori' breaking records
Pasoori is a Coke Studio Pakistan single that gained immense popularity after featuring in the sixth episode of the show’s 14th run. The song was performed by Sethi, an acclaimed Pakistani singer, and marked the debut of talented vocalist Shae Gill. Upon its release on February 6, 2022 the song went viral, captivating audiences worldwide.
The song's unique blend of lyrics, coupled with its catchy melody, resonated with listeners, earning it a spot, on Spotify's prestigious Viral 50 - Global chart—an accomplishment that had never been achieved by a Pakistani song before. It also became the first Coke Studio song to feature on this chart, further solidifying its global appeal.
Following its success, Pasoori garnered even more recognition when it was featured on various prominent platforms. The song was included in episode four of the Disney+ miniseries Ms. Marvel, adding to its global reach and introducing it to a wider audience. Additionally, Pasoori found a place on the soundtrack of the off-Broadway production Monsoon Wedding, the musical directed by the renowned filmmaker Mira Nair.
The track was also the most-streamed Pakistani song globally and locally in 2022, according to Spotify. Moreover, as per Google Trends' Year in Search 2022, it was also the most-searched song in the world in 2022. Thus, it remains to be seen whether or not this remake will come to pass and if it will live up to the benchmark the original has set.
What about 'Satyaprem Ki Katha'?
The music of Satyaprem Ki Katha, on the other hand, has already emerged as one of the film's major highlights. The team has already released three back-to-back songs, which have been well-received by the audience. To further amplify the excitement, two more songs are set to be unveiled within the next nine days, promising a musical extravaganza that will complement the film's romantic narrative.
This is a developing story.
