Sindh hockey league kicks off

Girls and boys hockey teams from various regions, selected through trials, will participate in the league

KARACHI:

Students from educational institutions in Sindh gathered at NED University as the Prime Minister launched the Talent Hunt Youth Program to promote sports among the youth.

As part of this program, the Sindh girls and boys hockey leagues were officially inaugurated in Karachi. The opening ceremony took place at Mehmood Alam Auditorium of NED University.

At the same time, the matches will be held at Islahuddin, Dr Mohammad Ali Shah Hockey Ground, and KHA Sports Complex, hosted by Sir Syed University.

The organising committee, led by Commodore (retd) Syed Sarfraz Ali, was announced by Sir Syed University Registrar. HEC Regional Director of Sports Javed Ali Memon expressed that teams from all over Sindh will have top-notch facilities.

Girls and boys hockey teams from Hyderabad, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, and Sukkur regions, selected through trials, will participate in the league.
