Half a dozen factions of Jeay Sindh Tehreek (JST), which was founded by iconic nationalist leader late G M Syed, have planned to join hands in order to effectively struggle for rights of Sindh and its people. A meeting held at the residence of Jeay Sindh Mahaz Chairman Riaz Ali Chandio in Hyderabad on Monday decided to finalise the alliance's shape at the next meeting on July 7.
The Jeay Sindh Qaumi Party leader Nawaz Khan Zaunr, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) head Deedar Sham, JSQM-Arisar's Ismail Naz Notkani, JST's Qayum Abro and Jeay Sindh Halchal chief Niaz Kalani attended the meeting. The nationalist leaders reiterated their objection to the digital population census 2023 and its results, demanding repatriation of all illegal immigrants staying in Sindh.
They also blamed those immigrants for creating the law and order situation in the province, particularly in Karachi. They said Pakistan Peoples Party's Sindh government has been facilitating the illegal immigrants while National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is issuing them national identity cards.
"The situation in Afghanistan is more peaceful than before. Therefore, all Afghan immigrants should be sent back to their country," Chandio demanded.
