The Sindh Premier League (SPL) is set to play a crucial role in the development of cricket in Sindh, as it aims to bring forth the best talent in the region, said Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah.

He said that the Sindh government is actively engaged with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to facilitate this initiative.

He said this during the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Sindh Assembly Auditorium, with the gold sponsor of the inaugural season of the SPL.

SACM for Sports, Arbab Lutfullah, said that the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) is determined to support players who currently lack the necessary resources to pursue cricket.

On the occasion, Al Hayat Group Chairman, Jahanzeb Alam, expressed his pride in being associated with the SPL, while Javed Miandad stated that the SPL is a dream come true for him.

Former test player Abdul Razzaq and SPL President Arif Malik also shared their views on the occasion.
