The Muttahida Qaumi MovementPakistan (MQM-P) has blamed the local workers of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for injuring one of its workers in Paretabad area late on Thursday night.

The MQM-P Hyderabad in charge Zafar Siddiqui, MPA Rashid Khilji and others alleged that criminal elements belonging to the PPP attacked Shahbaz Ahmed Qureshi when he was sitting with his friends. According to SHO Raees Khanzada of Pinyari police station, Qureshi sustained a gunshot in his left arm. He was shifted to Liaquat University Hospital from where he was referred to a hospital in Karachi.

The SHO told The Express Tribune that no family member of Qureshi has so far turned up to register the FIR.
