Phones worth Rs20 million returned to their rightful owners at ceremony by SSP Operations Multan

MULTAN:

Multan police located and recovered over 500 stolen mobile phones worth Rs20 million and returned them to their owners at a ceremony on Tuesday.

SSP Operations Multan Muhammad Imran turned over the stolen smartphones to their owners at a ceremony. A police spokesman said that CPO Multan Mansoorul Haq Rana employed modern technology to track down the accused involved in phone snatching, after different police applications were filed to trace the criminals.

Under the supervision of SSP Operations, two teams were formed, one headed by Incharge 15 Naveed Iqbal and Incharge front Desk Muhammad Asim. The two teams continued monitoring the mobile phones and recovered them.

People expressed their delight after receiving their stolen property and thanked the police.

In another incident, Makhdoom Rasheed police tracked down a suspected gang of motorcycle thieves, seizing twelve motorcycles worth Rs1.4 million and arresting three suspected members including the ring leader.
