‘Lilla-Jhelum-Doria Road to ease commuter woes’

The federal government has allocated Rs1.8 billion in its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the construction of Lilla-Jhelum-Doria Road, the prime minister’s coordinator on economy and energy Bilal Azhar Kayani said on Friday.

He said that federal planning minister Ahsan Iqbal informed him about the allocation of funds for road construction. The coordinator added that he had requested the minister to inaugurate the project as soon as possible and to have it fast-tracked so that people of Pind Dadan Khan, Jhelum, NA-60 and NA-61 get better travelling facilities.

Kayani said that the construction of roads would help mitigate accidents and save precious human lives.
