LAKKI MARWAT:

Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq on Sunday lashed out at the previous and current rulers, holding them responsible for the country’s boat being badly stuck in the vortex of political and economic crises.

Addressing an activists’ convention in Bannu, the JI chief hit out at JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, saying that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) president was staging rallies against the rising inflation just a year ago but now he was quiet after being granted governorship and ministries.

Similarly, Siraj also took a dig at PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, saying that he too was staging protests against inflation but had toned down after receiving the portfolio of the foreign ministry.

“If people are craving flour in an agricultural country, it is scary to imagine the rest of the situation,” he added.

Siraj further maintained that the tsunami of corruption, inflation and unemployment in the country was because of the incompetence of the previous PTI and the current PDM rulers.

He further said the PDM government wanted to compromise on more conditions before the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The JI chief continued that this decades-old beggar’s bowl mission had sealed the country’ fate with destruction and misery.

Siraj said his only his party could break this beggar’s bowl and place the country on the path to development.

“We can make it possible through the system of Zakat and Ushur,” he continued.
He maintained that when there was repentance from war with the Almighty with the abolition of usury, then He would surely assist the country.

“The only option is Jamaat-e-Islami and the people should support us. That day is not far when the Almighty's religion will be established in Pakistan and blessings would be poured from the sky and treasures found in the ground,” he added.
