Police find no clue to cloth merchant abducted 40 days ago
The abduction of a cloth merchant in New Karachi Industrial Area remains unresolved even after the passage of 40 days, despite repeated pleas to the police.
Last month, in Sector 11-G of the industrial area, unidentified individuals riding a car kidnapped Umar Farooq in broad daylight.
The family immediately reported the incident to the police, seeking the recovery of Umar. However, the investigation has made no significant breakthrough even after 40 days.
According to sources close to the victim's family, Umar Farooq's mother and his six children are mourning the loss of their father. Umar, who is a cloth merchant and resides in Godhra Colony, was kidnapped from outside his house 40 days ago. His mother firmly asserts that her son has no affiliation with any political organisation or involvement in any illegal activities. Consequently, there is suspicion that the abduction may be connected to a business transaction.
In their desperation for answers, the family has now contacted the Inspector General (IG) of Sindh, the Additional IG of Karachi, and other law enforcement agencies, seeking assistance locating and rescuing Umar Farooq.
