Amazon is discontinuing the celebrity voices of Samuel L. Jackson, Shaquille O'Neal, and Melisssa McCarthy.

The celebrity voices could respond to questions, tell jokes, or narrate a story. Amazon launched the feature with a starting price of $0.99 in 2019. However, the current rate of purchase is $4.99.

In a statement given to The Verge, Amazon spokesperson Eric Sveum says, "After three years, we're winding down celebrity voices. Customers will be able to continue using these voices for a limited time and can contact our customer service team for a refund."
