The Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Monday adjourned the hearing of a treason case against former prime minister Imran Khan till June 7.
A lawyer of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Abdul Razzaq Shar, had submitted a petition in the BHC seeking the registration of a treason case against the former premier.
In his petition, Shar accused Imran of inciting people against state institutions and using foul language against state institutions.
A division bench of the BHC comprising Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Muhammad Amir Rana heard the case.

No one from Imran’s side was present in the court.
The hearing was adjourned till Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
On behalf of the representative of the federal government, Additional Attorney General Hafiz Rauf Atta and Deputy Attorney General Mohammad Naseem Kasi were directed by the court to file a reply in this regard.
Former Supreme Court Bar Association president Amanullah Kunrani appeared on behalf of the petitioner while no one appeared on behalf of the defendants – National Assembly secretary and Imran.
