Google Photos helps you store memories without the fear of losing them or occupying the phone's memory

Photos on the phone often take up a lot of storage. There is usually no other option but to delete or transfer them to an online space. If the latter is the option, then Google Photos is a common choice.

Google Photos helps you store memories without the fear of losing them or occupying the phone's memory. Here are four tips to elevate your Google Photos experience;

1. Compress photo size to maximize free Google Drive storage

Some photos take up a lot of space due to their image size. To avoid that, you can compress the size of the photos. To do so, tap your profile picture in the upper-right corner of your screen and choose Photos Settings from the menu. Now click on Backup and tap on Backup quality. You can opt for the Storage Saver option to save some space.

2. Search for anything

If you want to see random pictures of the sky or anything else you have on your phone, simply type them in the Search bar. You can even search for such photos through emojis.

3. Create Collage and Animations

If you want to add a different touch to the photos, you need this option. Tap Library at the bottom of your screen and choose Utilities from the four options. Now scroll down to the Create New tab and select Movie, Animation, or Collage. You can choose pictures and get an animation or collage from Google Photos.

4. Share albums with others

If you are someone who takes pictures for your friends but ends up not sending them, then this is for you. You can create a shared album where you have to upload photos once, and they will be sent to all the people you have shared the album with. To do so, click on Sharing from the bottom of the screen and then select Create shared album. Now add a title for the album and the pictures. Once done, tap Share in the upper-right corner and then OK.
