Karachi Energy top SFL after resounding win
KARACHI:
Karachi Energy outplayed Tribe FC Peshawar 3-1 with striker Abdul Rehman scoring the Super Football League’s fastest goal. Rehman scored in the second minute and despite Peshawar’s equaliser in the sixth minute victory was sealed with goals in the 12th and 56th minute.
Karachi Energy now leads the table with seven points.
Fahadullah scored the game’s only goal in the 53rd minute as Islamabad narrowly beat under-strength Quetta. Islamabad stand third on the points table while Quetta are down to second.
Lahore Lajpals won their first match of the league as Mohammad Asif (one) and Ghulam Abbas (two) sealed a 3-0 thrashing of Peshawar on Friday. Peshawar drop to fifth with one point as Lahore maintain fourth with four points.
