Authorities urged to act against beggars

Citizens irked by increasing number of beggars on streets

SARGODHA:

People demanded the relevant authorities to take action against professional beggars in the city on Thursday.

A large number of professional beggars throng to the markets, parks, main highways, bus stands and other busy areas of the district, creating a nuisance for the people.

Talking to the media, local residents expressed worry that an increasing trend of beggars could become a security threat.

Beggars of all ages moved freely to get money from people at different places, including markets.
