Going with the tide, Muhammad Hashim Suri, the younger brother of former deputy speaker national assembly, Qasim Suri on Wednesday also announced parting ways with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He strongly condemned violent protests on May 9 across the country. Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club, Suri said that he was quitting PTI.
“We strongly condemn attacking and damaging public and private property,” Suri observed, adding that his brother was in Islamabad. He clarified that Bilal Suri, his other brother, had no political affiliation and that only Qasim Suri was affiliated with the PTI.
“We do not believe in violent politics and want to promote peace,” Hashim Suri said, adding that some elements had inflicted damage to public and private assets across the country which was regrettable.
“The politics of violence is completely unacceptable to us as we believe in serving the masses through politics,” Suri stressed.
