Jemima Goldsmith, the former wife of ex-premier Imran Khan, is particularly disappointed with Elon Musk for taking away the blue-tick verification especially after trolls made fake accounts of her kids, Kasim and Sulaiman Isa Khan. The British producer shares the kids with Imran.
The fake accounts came amidst political chaos in the country – and the What’s Love Got To Do With It? maker blames Musk for it. The accounts had pictures of the kids with their father, Imran, and had edited fan images of the former premier in the background.
On Thursday, Jemima took to Twitter and retweeted a post asking whether the two profiles claiming to be her children were real or not. “Thanks, Elon Musk. Fake accounts pretending to be my children were created by imposters with a political agenda in Pakistan. This is exactly what I feared would happen when you took away Twitter’s verification blue ticks,” she wrote.
Thanks @elonmusk

Fake accounts pretending to be my children, created by imposters with a political agenda in Pakistan. This is exactly what I feared would happen when you took away Twitter’s verification blue ticks. FYI my children are not on social media & have no plans to be. https://t.co/60p8lTSwoU
She further clarified that her kids are not on social media. “For your information, my children are not on social media and have no plans to be,” she concluded.
This is not the first time the Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) chairman’s former family has been targeted for political gains. Earlier this year in March, Jemima reported unidentified men that attempted to break into her London apartment in the middle of the night. The journalist and filmmaker also shared photographs of the men on her Twitter account, asking if anyone in the public can identify the trespassers. "If you can identify them, then please let me know," she wrote.
In 2022, a crowd of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) supporters held a protest outside the residence of Jemima’s 88-year-old mother in Surrey.
