Atif Aslam says birth of daughter made 2023 ‘extra special’ for his family

Singer is also embarking on a tour to celebrate 20 years of his musical journey

Atif Aslam, who was blessed with a baby girl this year, recently opened up on how special 2023 has been for him as a musician and as a new dad. The couple, Atif and his wife Sara Bharwani, owes it all to the new addition to their family, Halima Atif Aslam. The Aadat singer, who is set to kick off his UK and Europe tour in June, is also celebrating 20 years of his glorious musical career.

In conversation with IANS, Atif shared why this tour and the year 2023 are “extra special” for him. "I am super thrilled to be performing for my fans because performing live gives an artist an opportunity to connect with the energies of the audience. This tour is also extra special as I complete twenty years of my singing journey and what better way to celebrate it, with people who have given me so much love and admiration for all these years,” he said, adding that there’s another reason to add to the list.

“2023 has been extremely special so far as my wife Sara and I also welcomed our baby girl,” he stated.

Halima came into Atif and Sara’s lives in March this year. Announcing the news on Instagram, the singer shared a picture of his newborn with an adorable caption. "Finally the wait is over," he shared. "The new queen of my heart has arrived. Both baby and Sarah are fine Alhamdulilah. Please do remember us in your prayers." He concluded while revealing the name of his baby. "Ramadan Mubarak from Halima Atif Aslam."
