QUETTA:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Senior Vice-President Qasim Khan Suri on Tuesday said his party would resist every unconstitutional move on behalf of rulers.

He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at the party’s provincial secretariat.

Doda Khan Shahwani of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) joined the PTI on this occasion. Other political workers from the ruling PML-N also joined the PTI and announced support for the policies of the former prime minister.

The former deputy speaker of the National Assembly, Qasim Suri lashed out at the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and termed it responsible for what he called an economic crisis.

“Rulers in this country are advancing their personal agenda rather than serving the country and the nation,” Suri said.

The PTI leader added that the skyrocketing prices have made it hard for the people to buy edible items and even medicines. PTI is the last hope of the masses, he claimed.

Regarding Balochistan, Suri said scores of political workers from various parties were joining the PTI because of its democratic and principled stance.

He said the PTI was ready to participate in the general elections but the component parties of the PDM were frightened of the party’s popularity.

“They should come to a political fight, why they are running from elections,” Suri asked. He said the PTI was committed to upholding the banner of democracy and constitution in the country.

He urged the party workers to work day and night and play their due role in strengthening the PTI in the country.

We would be successful in the next elections, he expressed the hope.

He said that the PTI was in contact with all political personalities of Balochistan and very soon seasoned politicians of the province would join the party. “We believe in practice rather than mere empty slogans,” he added.
