Man kills father, brother of estranged wife
A man enraged over the filing of a case for the dissolution of his marriage shot dead his father-in-law and brother-in-law and injured his estranged wife in Lala Musa.
According to local police officials, Akhtarul Aslam, a resident of Kamla Bhand, barged into the home of his in-laws along with two unknown accomplices and allegedly opened fire, killing his 70-year-old father-in-law Muhammad Fazil and 40-year-old brother-in-law Ali Raza. His 40-year old wife Ghazala Bibi also suffered bullet injuries in the attack.
Fazil's surviving son Banaras Ali reported the incident to the police who shifted the bodies to a hospital for postmortem.
On the basis of a statement of the complainant, the police registered a case against Aslam, his mother Bashir Begum, sister Rukhsana Shaheen and two other persons under sections 302, 324, 109
and 34 on charges of murder and attempted murder.
The police said an investigation into the case and search for the suspects was under way.
Citing initial investigation, a police official said the motive behind the deadly attack appeared to be a dispute between the main suspect and his wife who had filed a case
for separation and expenses in a local court against him.
Infuriated over the case, the suspect had barged into the home of his in-laws and opened fire, the official of the area police station added.
