On the purported audio leak of Najam Saqib, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said that the “son of a thief turned out to be a thief” as former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar's son is taking money in exchange for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf tickets.
In the audio leak, which surfaced on Saturday last week, allegedly Najam could be heard talking to two other people about taking not less than “120” in exchange for a ticket.
Addressing the party workers on the occasion of May Day at Model Town on Monday, Maryam said, “Saqib Nisar, tell me how much money did you take in exchange for the Panama case?”

The then Chief Justice Nisar had disqualified Maryam’s father Nawaz Sharif as the prime minister for life in the Panama Papers case in 2017.
Turning her guns towards PTI chief Imran Khan, the PML-N chief organizer said, “This troublemaker is rallying for the workers. I will say you just stop plotting against Pakistan and the workers' wages will be fixed.
“There is only one person standing in the way of the development of this country and that is Imran Khan. Imran Khan is not a political opponent but a terrorist who does not care if he wins or loses, but will not let the country run.”
Maryam blamed Imran and his “entire gang” for the dollar reaching a historic level of Rs280. “The leader of this gang is Imran Khan and the members of the gang include former CJP Saqib Nisar and General (retd) Faiz [Hameed].
She said that when Imran’s sit-in in 2014 failed and Nawaz’s crime could not be proved, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa (who was at that time part of the benches that disqualified Nawaz) told Imran to bring the case to him and he would expel Nawaz. The biggest loss was done to Pakistan on that day and today the same process is being repeated, she added. “Imran Khan's long march, Jail Bharo Movement, every strategy failed, and now the new judiciary establishment has stepped in.”

Maryam held responsible the suo motu notice taken by Justice Mazahir Akbar Naqvi and Justice Ijazul Ahsan for all the problems being faced by the country today. “Today, the economy of Pakistan is in a bad state and development has stalled, that's why PTI is not in a hurry for the election, they are only in a hurry to have the election as soon as they want, because there will be no one to help them win.”
The PML-N senior leader added that Justice Athar Manullah said that before holding elections, it should be seen why the assembly was dissolved. “Imran himself sprung the plot of real conspiracy and said that Gen (retd) (Qamar Javed) Bajwa told me to dissolve the assemblies. The reason behind dissolving them [Punjab and K-P assemblies] is that the facilitators are sitting in the Supreme Court.”
She said that not only the people and politicians spoke about the hundreds of suo motu notices that were taken due to this conspiracy, but the judges of the Supreme Court also spoke. First of all, it should come before the public that why were the assemblies dissolved on the request of Gen (retd) Bajwa? “Who is sitting behind and shaking the strings even today? He is Saqib Nisar who is plotting from behind.”
The PML-N chief organiser said that there was also an audio of former CJP Nisar saying to “kill Maryam”. “Hear the conversation of Nisar's son, who does not speak without abusing. Decisions in the world are based on merit and here decisions are made on the advice of mothers-in-law and sons.” Justice (retd) Nisar and Imran's lawyer Khawaja Rahim are saying to submit papers against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. “Give as many papers as you want.”
Maryam said that Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial's mother-in-law was saying that there were millions of people at Imran’s rally. “Go and see in cities how many millions of people are cursing?” No one's personal conversation should come out, she said, adding that this was not a personal conversation. “Decisions are being made. Let’s dee who this gang wants to bring. Today, wherever Shehbaz Sharif goes, people nervously ask out if Imran Khan will come back.
She said, “I am asking CJP Bandial and the three-member bench why and for whom are you doing this?
In April, the three-member bench — headed by CJP Bandial and comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Ijazul Ahsan — had fixed May 14 as the date for the poll in Punjab.
She said asked, “Which person do you want to impose on us again. He (Imran) doesn't know what to he is saying when he is high. “They used to say that the resignations should be accepted and now they are saying that they should not be accepted. The owner of this country is not you [Imran] or your drug-addled mind, but 22 million people.”
Maryam said, “If you take out the nine years of Nawaz Sharif, you will be left with the ruins of the last 65 years. Why has no one done anything about it?
“Imran Khan comes and starts the business of selling watches. Pinky Peerni (Bushra Bibi) opens a shop separately. “Tthe one who was called a thief, turned out to be Sadiq and Amin, and who were called Sadiq and Amin, their children also turned out to be thieves. Now you know who is the godfather and Sicilian Mafia?”
She said, “Whatever you do, parliament will continue to make laws. You will have to accept the decision of parliament and the Constitution and law of this country. Parliament will have its decision obeyed. Constitution and parliament is supreme.”
