Dance Day held at ACP

Sindh Culture and Education Sardar Ali Shah also attended the International Dance Day programme

The International Dance Day 2023 was celebrated by the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) Karachi at its auditorium.

Famous classical Kathak dancers Nighat Chaudhry, Mohsin Babar, Farrukh Darbar, Wahab Shah & Co, Bharatnatym expert Mani Chao, fusion followers Abdul Ghani and Khurram, semi-classical choreographers Kaif Ghaznavi, Iram Basheer and Abdul Sattar, and folk dance follower Samira enthralled the audience with cultural performances.

Meanwhile, people present in the auditorium were tapping their feet as breakdance performers Reham and Daniya, hip-hop dancers Waqar Samrat, Ali Popper and Adnan Tal set the stage on fire.

Lamiya Faheem and DJ John Group, Sajan Group, Deewana Group, Adnan Jhangir of Lahore, Yusha and Mr and Mrs Sikandar presented wonderful performances of contemporary dance.

Sindh Culture and Education Sardar Ali Shah also attended the International Dance Day programme. ACP President Mohammad Ahmad Shah said the movement of universe is choreographed to perfection by the Creator. "Dance is a form of expression but people are averse of dance in our society. In our society there are limitations on being happy, whereas right to be happy is a basic human right," he said.
