ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan and the European Union, strongly condemning terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, have reaffirmed their determination to jointly combat the menace through a hybrid approach involving increased cooperation on the prevention and countering of violent extremism, offline and online radicalisation, and combating terrorism financing.

The matter was discussed during the European Union-Pakistan Counter Terrorism Dialogue held in Brussels on Thursday, a Foreign Office statement said.

The dialogue offered an opportunity to engage in important discussions on counter-terrorism cooperation, as part of a wider engagement on security matters in the framework of the 2019 Strategic Engagement Plan.

They also discussed counter-terrorism cooperation in multilateral fora such as the United Nations and the Global Counter-Terrorism Forum, which the EU co-chairs.

The dialogue provided an opportunity to exchange views on regional and global challenges, including the wider security implications of the situation in Afghanistan.

The meeting offered an opportunity to explore concrete ways of assisting Pakistan’s efforts in addressing the growing challenges posed by the evolving threats of terrorism.

The respective delegations were led by Benedikta Von Seherr-Thoss, Managing Director, Common Security and Defence Policy at the European External Action Service and Abdul Hameed, Director General for Counter-Terrorism at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.

test | 1 year ago | Reply Fuck EU and Fuck your terrorism or whatever bullshit. Pakistan wants industry and industry and industry to give jobs to its massive unemployed people in Pakistan. I repeat talk will start from industry and will end on industry and there is nothing else. So EU should fuck off if it is anything else than industry and economy. If EU wants to relocate their industries to Pakistan then they are welcome otherwise get lost. The other thing is that Pakistan has long term strategic alliance with China which is our time tested brother and we will always stand with China no matter what. Also we will give air bases naval bases military bases and drone bases to China in return for relocation of Chinese industries to Special Economic Zones of Pakistan so that China can benefit from cheapest skilled workforce present in the world.
