PESHAWAR:

Civil Judge Abdul Majid Afridi, who is detained in connection with the murder case of former president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Abdul Latif Afridi, on Thursday filed a bail application in a special court for terror-related cases.

Peshawar Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Fazal Sattar heard the bail application. According to the prosecution, the accused Abdul Majid was nominated under section 164 by the plaintiff, following which the police registered a case against him under section 109. The court, while adjourning the hearing until today, has summoned the relevant record. It should be noted that the late Latif Afridi advocate was gunned down inside the Peshawar High Court (PHC) Bar Room on January 16.

The police had taken the main suspect Adnan Afridi into custody from the crime scene. It is worth mentioning that three other nominated facilitators, Zakir, Fawad, and Advocate Adil, have already been released on bail.
