Inspector loses life in Khuzdar blast

Counter - Terrorism Department (CTD) Inspector Sharbat Khan was martyred in a bomb explosion in Balochistan's Khuzdar city on Thursday morning. Police sources said Inspector Sharbat's vehicle was targeted through a remote-controlled bomb in the medical complex area of Khuzdar.

The inspector lost his life on the spot as his vehicle was completely destroyed in the attack. A huge contingent of police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to the district headquarters hospital Khuzdar.

Senior administration and police officials reached the spot and opened investigating the incident. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Quddus Bizenjo strongly condemned the incident and directed the police to arrest the culprits behind the attack. In a statement issued after the blast, Bizenjo said the terrorists involved in the attack would be brought to justice.

He directed the police and district administration to beef up security in the district. The funeral prayer of the inspector was offered in the Khuzdar police line. Strict security measures were adopted by the administration as senior civil and military officials participated in the funeral prayer.
