20 deported Pakistanis arrive from Saudi Arabia

All deportees shifted to private hospital on complaints of fever, body aches

At least 20 Pakistani citizens imprisoned in jails on various charges including illegal stay in Saudi Arabia were deported and brought back to Islamabad.

During the screening upon their arrival at the airport, all of them complained of temperature and body pain at which they were shifted to a private hospital in the federal capital for further medical examination due to the fear of monkeypox virus (Mpox).

Sources said as many as 20 Pakistanis were deported from Saudi Arabia through flight SV-722 and handed over to the immigration authorities at the Islamabad airport.

After landing, all the 20 deportees were medically screened, and all of them showed symptoms of temperature and body pain, etc., at which all of them were transferred to a private hospital, the sources added.

Officials said that more tests will be conducted and if they test negative, they will be discharged from the hospital. The officials further said that the deportees were imprisoned in Saudi jails due to illegal stay and other illegal activities.
