DERA GHAZI KHAN:

Zulfiqar, 33, a resident of Dera Ghazi Khan, who had come to Multan for Eid holidays, was killed in a tragic incident of kite string slitting.

Punjab Inspector General of Police Dr Usman Anwar has taken notice of the incident and ordered an inquiry, directing the Multan Regional Police Officer to submit a report.

Further information revealed that Zulfiqar was out for a ride during his Eid holidays when a stray kite string suddenly slit his throat while he was riding a motorcycle.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene, but Zulfiqar had already passed away due to his injuries. He was then taken to Nishtar Hospital Multan, and his family members were informed.

The police were also informed about the incident on helpline 15. Upon reaching the scene, the police took possession of the body. However, the deceased’s relatives refused any police action, so the police lodged a report and handed over the body to the heirs.

Later, the funeral prayer of the deceased was offered in Semina Sadaat, his ancestral area of Dera Ghazi Khan, which was attended by a large number of people, including political and social figures.
