Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke to Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq over telephone on Saturday, informing him of his consultations with the ruling coalition parties over the ongoing political crisis in the country.
According to a JI spokesperson, the premier contacted Siraj over the phone today and congratulated him on Eidul Fitr. The prime minister also apprised him of the meeting of the allied parties that he has called on April 26.
The JI chief thanked PM Shehbaz for his Eid greetings and the two leaders discussed the current political situation. "As the prime minister, it is your responsibility to find a solution to the political crisis," Siraj reportedly told Shehbaz.

Shehbaz informed Siraj about his efforts to find a solution to the political crisis and said he is consulting with allied parties. The prime minister also said that he has called for a consultative meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) on April 26.
Meanwhile, PM Shehbaz also telephoned the governors of the four provinces to congratulate them on Eidul Fitr and express good wishes to them.
He also called leaders of the parties in the government and congratulated them on Eid, including Sardar Akhtar Mengal, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Prof. Sajid Mir, and Shah Owais Noorani.
The premier also congratulated caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, caretaker Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Azam Khan, and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah over the phone.
In addition, he also called Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf, and Deputy Speaker Zahid Akram Durrani to convey Eid greetings.
