Singer and actor Farhan Saeed had a lot to say about the launch of the first-ever Apple store in India, lauding the nation while also wondering when Pakistan would strive to that level of recognition and progress.

On Thursday, Saeed took to his Instagram Stories and shared a news article announcing the launch and the presence of Apple CEO Tim Cook in Mumbai. “Well done India! The priorities and progression are directly proportional,” he wrote with a bit of regret and sorrow for the same missing in our country. “I wish we weren’t hijacked,” he concluded.

While some fans disagreed with the singer on his stance, many praised him for giving credit to “a progressive nation” where it is due. A user even blamed our politicians for not prioritising improving state affairs and being busy “taking revenge” on each other.

The Tich Button maker has time and again raised his voice against the state of affairs in the country. Holding people and the government accountable, Saeed has been vocal about what citizens need to do to reach progress and circumvent repression.

Upon a hike in fuel prices earlier this year, Saeed took to social media and lashed out at his fellow countrymen for not raising a voice against the increasing inflation. "Pakistaniyon, tum 500 rs litre bhi dalwa loge. Afsos! (Pakistanis, you would even be okay if the petrol prices were increased to Rs500 per litre. Sad state of affairs). The nations that don’t stand up for themselves, deserve this and worse," he shared in a tweet.

On the work front, Saeed was last seen in the Hania Aamir starrer Mere Humsafar. Aamir and Saeed’s couple, Hala and Hamza, became the driving force for the series due to their chemistry on screen.
