People can’t help but compare the show to similar OTT watches

Twitter has found a Pakistani version of Netflix's hit show, Elite, it seems! A first look at an upcoming project, College Gate, has recently been shared and social media users have something to say. 

The synopsis of the show reads, “Revealing the first look of Green Entertainment’s new coming-of-age drama: College Gate. In a world full of conformity, a bunch of college students choose to walk the road less travelled; in hopes of discovering themselves and chasing dreams. A lot of people began to see parallels between Elite and Class on Netflix. Elite is a popular Spanish thriller teen drama series on Netflix that revolves around the lives of three working-class students who get scholarships to study at a wealthy private school in Spain. As they try to adjust to their new surroundings, they encounter a group of privileged students who are quick to remind them of their differences. On the other hand, Class is the Indian adaptation of the Spanish series.

The drama serial will feature a young and emerging cast that includes Zarrar Khan, Natalia Castillo Shahid, Khaqan Shahnawaz, Hina Chaudhry, Mamia Shajaffar, Shuja Asad, Washma Fatima, Nouman Kahout, and Asad Chaudhry. The series has been written by Ateeq Inayat and Ali Sikandar, and directed by Fahim Burney.

The drama serial's plot has not yet been revealed, but fans are eagerly anticipating the series' release. With the emergence of new talent and a fresh approach to storytelling, College Gate has the potential to revolutionize the Pakistani drama industry.
