Health dept organises daily open courts

Punjab Specialised Healthcare Secretary Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi has said that the department is hearing public complaints daily through an open court.

He said in a statement that the process of addressing the applications of the citizens had been accelerated and decisions were being taken immediately.

The official warned that he would not tolerate any delaying tactics because prompt processing of the complaints was the right of the citizens.

Instead of standing in queues, preference is given to hearing the applications on through a daily open court, he added.

The department was also trying to provide better treatment facilities to the patients in the government teaching hospitals, the provincial secretary said.
