A Sikh-era two-storey building has been discovered in Peshawar, believed to be over 100 years old. The basement was found during the demolition of a house in the Barh area inside Sarki Gate of the city.
The house has since been taken into custody by the Department of Archaeology, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The discovery has been hailed as a wonder of the historic city of Peshawar.

The Department of Archaeology has halted construction on the site and sealed the house in order to preserve the historical structure.
