Criminals, criminals go away

Letter August 28, 2011
Instead of dealing with these criminals with an iron fist, the chief minister is making a humble request to criminals.

KARACHI: What is one to make of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah’s statement warning all of Karachi’s criminals, killers and extortionists to leave the city and go somewhere else? Where does the chief minister wants the extortionists to go? Lahore? Rawalpindi? Islamabad? Quetta? Iran? India? or Afghanistan?

Instead of dealing with these criminals with an iron fist, the chief minister is making a humble request to criminals to leave his city and go somewhere else. Why doesn’t the Sindh chief minister himself go somewhere else and let a competent person take charge of his office?
