These animals have no boundaries: Armeena Khan slams trolls after attacks on daughter

The 'Janaan' star took to social media to vent her frustration

In a rather absurd string of events, actor Armeena Khan and her four-month-old daughter have become targets of attacks by trolls. A private image of the two shared by Pakistan Muslim League-N's (PML-N) official Twitter handle became a gateway for this online trolling.

Consequently, the Bin Roye star has been sharing relevant screenshots on her Insta Stories. She does not hold back any semblance of shock and disgust as she slams people for blindly advocating for the ridicule of an infant child amidst political disagreements.

A few tweets that abused her daughter and implied she was an illegitimate child were shared by the actor on her Insta Story. “Attacking me is cool,” said the star. “I’m used to it but if any of you think this is acceptable or falls under ‘tit for tat,’ then I’m sorry. May God ruin you and your family in the hereafter. Amen. A four-month-old baby is not a legitimate target. She is practically fresh out of God’s house and is an angel. Only characterless Satans would do this.”

Continuing her onslaught, the Daldal star stated that this is why she would reluctantly share images that were otherwise private to her. “And this is why I’m hesitant to share images of my infant,” penned Khan. “Because these animals (excuse me, I insult animals by comparison) have no boundaries.”

In a final Insta Story, the Sherdil star shared a screenshot of an excerpt from the Holy Quran, seeking refuge from evil. “May God protect all innocent children, including mine from Satans. May God wreck all those who spy on my account and wish harm upon my family. Amen,” stated the star, capping off her digital onslaught.

Moreover, in a now-deleted tweet, Khan referred to Twitter users sending insults the family’s way as jahil (illiterate), which was met with backlash.

“What a hypocrite,” wrote one user. “Talks about Pakistani politics like her life depends on it (though sits miles away). But the moment you talk in Urdu, she calls you illiterate. Nothing but an average overseas youthia.”

“Tweeting in Urdu makes one illiterate,” wrote another user, quoting the Yalghaar star’s deleted tweet. “I know hundreds of Pakistani engineers in North America who did their masters and PhD in Canada and the USA and are now in the management of Fortune 100 companies. Yet they WhatsApp and tweet regularly in Urdu about Pakistan.”

Another user called her an ‘Englishman’s daughter,’ to which she proudly agreed. However, she did address the fact that she called people tweeting in Urdu illiterate. “Last night all those tweeting in Urdu were using profanities. Hence I said what I said, not at the actual language,” clarified the star.

When called out by another user, she wrote, “Of course, but she will twist herself into a pretzel to make it fit because the identity crisis is within herself. ‘Pakistani actors are problematic’ insinuates that she considers us inferior because we are Pakistani. Bunching me up with wife beaters to validate. The irony!”

Khan also addressed the initial post shared by PML-N again, writing, “This is what fascists do. Attack infants and postpartum mothers. Imagine the conservatives/labour from the U.K. or some other mainstream party used my photo. They would be crucified, no matter what I’d said. If you are vying for future leadership, you cannot attack the public.”
