The multi-faceted star aimed to provide some clarity

Popular actor Hira Mani, known for her acting, singing, and dancing skills, has been in the news recently for clarifying an old statement about 'stealing her friend’s fiancé'. The actor appeared on Nida Yasir's morning show with her husband, Mani (Salman Saqib Sheikh), to address the controversy. Nida prompted the couple to speak about Hira’s earlier statement.

The Mein Hari Piya star Hira clarified, “First of all, if you saw that interview, I didn’t say that he’s the fiancé of my friend, I said that he was a friend of my friend. It wasn’t an engagement or anything else, and I shared it on the show.” Mani also spoke up, interjecting that the girl in question was just another random contact on his list. He further stated that he used to talk to her like he did with thousands of other girls at that time. Mani also mentioned that this happened during a time when social media did not exist, and he took advantage of that time.

“Everyone has their own journey and life,” the Yun Tu Hai Pyar Bohut star continued. “No one can be like anyone else. Every individual has their own spark. In life, there are many issues. Sometimes, issues arise between couples. People don’t always marry the ones they want. My life is like a fairytale. Truly. When it comes to my marriage, kids, and career. It’s like my life is running on manifestation. I think it is because of my truth."

During an old interview on Speak Your Heart With Samina Peerzada, Hira revealed that she met her husband by grabbing his contact number from her friend's mobile phone (who was allegedly Mani's girlfriend/fiancée) without her friend's knowledge. This caused an uproar among many social media users, who accused Hira of being unfaithful to her friend. The couple has been married since 2008 and has two sons together.

Hira has been fairly open about her love story with Mani in the past, recounting that she got with the comedian behind her friend’s back, whom he was dating at the time. On the criticism she received following the revelation, the actor explained, “People criticise me because I stole Mani’s number from my friend’s phone and messaged him behind her back, but the truth is, I have no regrets. People can say what they want. Even if Mani was married to someone else, I would have married him regardless.
