Can’t stop, won’t stop: Swara Bhaskar unfazed by trolls attacking her for wearing Ali Xeeshan outfit

The actor shared a series of pictures to show her admiration for the details in her Valima dress

Bollywood actor Swara Bhaskar received backlash on social media for praising Pakistani designer Ali Xeeshan, who created her Valima outfit and sent it from Lahore to Bareilly. However, the actor, unfazed by the criticism, continued to share pictures in the beige lehenga with the hashtag #CantStopWontStop.

On Thursday, Bhaskar uploaded a series of pictures to share her “obsession” with Xeeshan’s creation. “Obsessed! Cannot get over the grace and beauty of this creation by the mad genius of Ali Xeeshan. So grateful to benefit from the talent of such generous magicians!” she wrote.

Posting further close-ups, she praised the Pakistani designer’s artistry by highlighting the intricate details in the heavily embroidered outfit.

To mock trolls even more, Bhaskar reposted an old article where the designer said that "art has no boundaries" and that people in India and Pakistan share the same DNA.

Earlier this week, the Veere Di Wedding actor took to the micro-blogging site and penned a heartwarming message for Xeeshan."My Valima outfit came from Lahore via Dubai- Bombay-Delhi finally to Bareilly! I’ve long marvelled at the talent of Ali Xeeshan," she said, "When I called him with the idea of wearing his design at my Valima, his warmth and generosity made me admire him even more." She further added, "Ali who has never met me and is based in Lahore managed to send me my dream outfit for a wedding finale! Makes me realise love and friendship cannot be contained in borders and boundaries."

Although Bhaskar’s tweet was full of love and admiration, Twitterati rushed to the comment section with derogatory remarks, even going as far as to label her as an "anti-nationalist." Bhaskar tied the knot with social activist Fahad Ahmad in February. The newlywed couple hosted a grand wedding reception on March 16 in Delhi, and a Valima on March 21 in Bareilly after registering their marriage last month.
