Techvalley Pakistan in collaboration with Google conducted coding programmes in selected schools in district south

KARACHI:

Sindh Information, Science & Technology (IST) department has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Techvalley Pakistan to provide 5,000 IT-based scholarships for students of government schools, youth and transgenders.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that such interventions would enable people to earn a respectable livelihood.

Techvalley Pakistan in collaboration with Google has conducted early coding programmes in selected schools in district south. Google will scale up this activity across Sindh.

The total training hours for each certification is 160 within a period of four months.

The programme provides equal opportunity to women and people with special abilities to equip themselves with the IT skillset to get more employment opportunities in the IT world onshore and offshore.
