RAWALPINDI:

The government has prepared a big project to construct the first "Rawalpindi Circuit House" which will have all the district's administrative offices in a single building.

According to sources, the circuit house will have all modern amenities and will be constructed at a total cost of Rs1 billion. The building will spread over 24 kanals of land and will have at least five floors. The office will have a covered area of 84,466 square feet.

The Infrastructure Development Authority of Punjab (IDAP) will collaborate with the private sector to build the massive project. The IDAP has also sought applications from the business sector and interested parties may submit their applications by April 7.

The district of Rawalpindi's administrative offices is currently spread all over the city. Employees travel from far-off places to the office of the deputy commissioner for important meetings. The offices of 22 departments, including the commissioner, deputy commissioner, assistant commissioners, municipalities, and forests, will be housed in one facility after the completion of the circuit house.
