Two die in Khuzdar IED blast

Police sources say explosion occurred near Do Talwar Chowk, injuring seven others

QUETTA:

At least two people died, while seven others sustained injuries in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion that targeted a vehicle in the Khuzdar city of Balochistan on Tuesday evening, police sources said.

They said that blast occurred in the Do Talwar Chowk, killing Haji Amanullah and Naveed. They added that the injured had been rushed to the Khuzdar district headquarters hospital.

Emergency was declared at the hospital to provide medical treatment to the injured. Khuzdar police reached the spot as investigation into the incident got under way. Security was tightened in and around Khuzdar in the aftermath of the attack.
