Naqvi lauds cops over ‘solving March 8 case’

It is our collective responsibility to provide justice to the heirs of the deceased citizen, says caretaker CM

Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has asserted that police officers have solved the case of the recent death of a political worker “in a dedicated and professional manner and in a very short period of time”.

According to an official statement, he was speaking to a police team that had investigated the March 8 incident and called on him.

The team comprised Senior Superintendent of Police Imran Kishwar, Inspector Muhammad Ali Butt, Inspector Nabi Baksh, Sub Inspector Amir Shehzad, SI Zubair, Head Constable Khurram Shehzad and Constable Muhammad Tayyab.

The Punjab chief secretary, inspector general of police and capital city police officer were also present on the occasion.

The caretaker CM “lauded the performance of the police team”.

“It is our collective responsibility to provide justice to the heirs of the deceased citizen,” he added.

Mohsin Naqvi stated that the police officers had fulfilled all the requirements of justice earlier and would do so in future as well.
