On the instructions of Punjab chief minister, Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce and Energy SM Tanveer visited the Iranian Consulate with a high-level delegation.
The delegation included Secretary Industry and Commerce Ehsan Bhatta, agriculture secretary, Agriculture special secretary, vommissioner and Punjab Board of Investment & Trade CEO Jalal Hasan.
The provincial minister met Iranian Consul General Mehran Movahed Far and during the meeting, bilateral trade relations and provision of relief during the holy month of Ramazan was discussed.
Tanveer said that the Punjab government had prepared a comprehensive plan to provide relief during the month of Ramazan, while Consul General Far said that they were ready to provide all kinds of support to provide relief to their Muslim brothers. “We are keen to import meat from Punjab and for this purpose, the support of the government is required".
PBIT CEO Jalal Hasan said that Punjab Investment Board will play its effective role in trade with Iran.
