Naqvi promises liaison committees with police

Representatives of the chambers of commerce and industries of Punjab voiced their concerns and presented proposals in a meeting on Wednesday for promoting agro-based industries, information technology and industrial activities in the province.

Presiding over the first meeting of the Punjab chambers of commerce coordination committee, Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi assured the business community of his prompt attention to their problems.

The meeting was attended by representatives of all chambers of commerce and industries in the province.

The caretaker chief minister pledged to do whatever possible to support industrialists and businessmen in the province. He announced that liaison committees of industrialists and the police would be formed and consultation with the business community would continue.

Provincial Caretaker Minister SM Tanveer noted the critical role that the business community played in the development of the economy and pledged to address the problems of the provincial level and recommend solutions related to the federal government.

Caretaker Minister Bilal Afzal, the inspector general of police, the labour and industries secretaries and other officials were also present.

Meanwhile, Caretaker Chief Minister also called on Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman to discuss the current situation.

Holi felicitation

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi conveyed his warm greetings to the Hindu community on the auspicious occasion of the Holi festival.

In his message, he expressed his heartfelt wishes for the happiness and wellbeing of the Hindu community in Pakistan, particularly in Punjab. Holi is widely celebrated as the festival of colours, which signifies love and affection, and provides a wonderful opportunity to bring people together, he added.

The caretaker CM urged people to embrace the spirit of love and harmony, terming it "especially important in today's world."
