Kaghan Valley recently hosted a snow jeep race at Shogran where more than 25 jeeps from across the country raced at an altitude of 2,362 metres.
This competition was organised by Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) in collaboration with district administration and the provincial government to promote winter tourism in Kaghan Valley.
Participants of the ‘Snow Jeep Adventure’ raced their vehicles at high speed on two feet of snow and showed off their driving skills. Deputy Commissioner Captain Rao Bilal was invited as the chief guest of the event. While talking to The Express Tribune, he said that the administration will take all possible steps to promote tourism in Kaghan Valley.
He said that just as Shogran Road has been kept open for all kinds of traffic in the current year, Kaghan Highway will also be opened for traffic up to Naran soon.
President of Pakistan Land Rover Association Rizwan Mushhadi said that the purpose of this competition was not only to promote tourism in Kaghan Valley but also to send a message to the world that Pakistan is a peaceful country where you can come and not only enjoy the beauty of Pakistan but can also have different kinds of adventures.
